My Top Five Writing Tips

On Friday I let out an enormous sigh.
My shoulders lifted a full six inches, I breathed deeply, I smiled and I sighed like this: Ahhhhh!
I’ve just finished the first draft of my new book (more news about that tomorrow!) and the relief and satisfaction of getting to the end of those 104,000 words is indescribable!
So no writing for me for a few weeks, instead I shall be focussing on marketing and dreaming up my next story – both of which I enjoy doing immensely!
But in the meantime, here are my top five writing tips as told to Novelicious a few weeks ago… | The Women’s Fiction Blog for Readers and Writers

Cathy Bramley
By Cathy Bramley

Cathy is the author of the best-selling romantic comedies Ivy Lane, Appleby farm, Conditional Love, Wickham Hall and The Plumberry School of Comfort Food. She lives in a Nottinghamshire village with her family and Pearl, the Cockerpoo. Her recent career as a full-time writer of light-hearted romantic fiction has come as somewhat of a lovely surprise after spending eighteen years running her own marketing agency. However, she has always been an avid reader, hiding her book under the duvet and reading by torchlight. Luckily her husband has now bought her a Kindle with a light, so that’s the end of all that palaver.
